The Team Adventure Challenge focuses on key pillars of physical and psychological health, tracking a number of daily metrics that earn points to move teams around their virtual adventure course. In a fun and entertaining way, it raises a participants awareness of the choices they make each day and how that impacts how they feel and function. Choosing the changes they are prepared to make helps to develop the intrinsic motivation that sustains new behaviours over time.
Found it great for morale and the friendly competition was fun! On a more personal note, it highlighted to me just how unfit and inactive I really was and motivated me to get moving!
Will, SedgmanHighly addictive to increase your steps each day!!! A huge moral booster & conversation starter both within the workplace and outside with family and friends!!! Hope there’s another challenge in the near future!!
Mike, St Ives HospitalsI really enjoyed the challange and I lost a total of 10 kilos. what a difference. I love the spirit of all the people involved having something to discuss in relation to our activities and the effort everyone was putting in. it was great and brought everyone together loved it.
Josie, I-Med RadiologyI really loved the challenge and it made our work mates more motivated and gave us more time to hang out to get out steps up and I definitely felt fitter and more motivated to move around at work and out of office hours.
Melinda, Patersons SecuritiesI absolutely loved joining in with the challenge and found it positively impacted on the choices I was making each day to improve my health – choosing stairs instead of the lift, parking a little further away at the shops and getting in those few extra steps wherever I could. It was also great competing against other teams and having a little friendly rivalry! I am going to continue aiming towards 10k+ steps a day as I feel so much healthier!
Jill, Anglicare SAI found the challenge to be rewarding and beneficial to me in terms of my confidence, weight loss, overall appearance, energy levels, positivity, motivation, and commitment to the task. I found it exciting because I had a set goal to achieve, I have a competitive nature, and I did not want to let my team down. I have decided to go ahead and do my own personal 6 weekly challenge, because I love feeling inspired and the fantastic changes in my life have a great flow on effect. Thank you!!
Irene, ACT GovernmentHaving the pedometer was a great motivator as well as recording mood, sleep & nutritional information, especially the nutritional stuff – felt very proud when I got a good score, motivated me to keep trying. Nothing like positive reinforcement to maintain motivation.-I loved the videos & the way our progress was mapped – all in all, a fun way to develop good exercise and eating habits.
Kate, I-Med RadiologyDefinitely enjoyed the challenge & it was often a talking point at work. I feel more energised and have made real and hopefully long lasting changes to my exercise routine and fitness levels. Previously had did not engage in any kind of regular exercise and now its becoming part of my daily routine again!!
